For as long as I can remember, friends and family have called me Suzy Sunshine because of my positive attitude. However, life has been a challenge, lately, and that is putting it mildly. The project that I have been working on for the past two years is fast coming to a close, and once it is done, I’m without a job. It’s a scary prospect. Of course, I should have seen it coming. I should have seen it coming when they insisted I participate in the project, even though I really didn’t want to. It was only for a month – and I can do anything for a month. When a month had stretched into nine months, and every time I tried to broach the subject of returning to my old position I was told, “That’s what you get for being good at what you do,” I should have seen it coming. Now, my old position is gone, and none of the other positions I’ve interviewed for has been a good fit. What a way to learn the truth – no good deed goes unpunished.

Last night, I worked until 10 at night. My mom got home from work around the same time, so we decided to put in a pizza. That’s always the quickest and easiest option when we get home late from work. It’s also one of the tastiest. We chose to make a frozen supreme pizza. Since our oven is brand new, it takes a little bit longer to preheat. About a half hour after we put the pizza in, it was ready to eat. It had green peppers, onions, pepperoni, sausage, cheese, and sauce. The crust was great. It was thick and had a homemade taste to it, even though it came from a local grocery store.

I am among many women in this world who are happy looking after their family by giving up their career. As a mother of 2 sweet kids I find it worth to have given up my career for them as I strongly feel that children need full care and attention which is a bit difficult to provide if you are working. I think the best job a women can do is to raise children in the best way and look after her family at least until children are not capable of doing things by themselves. That’s why I didn’t regret giving up my career for their sake I think no woman should.

Last weekend I went to a college football game and watched NFL football games on television. On Saturday I went to a football game at the new TCF Bank Stadium located on the university of Minnesota campus. Before this 11am game I tailgated with a bunch of friends. We made food and threw some footballs around. The Minnesota Gophers squared off against the Air Force Academy. This new stadium was absolutely beautiful. The field has great sight lines overlooking the campus on one side and the Minneapolis sky line on the other side. The football game was exciting the game was tied up at 3-3 at half time. In the second half the Gophers offense got going and they pulled away to win their first game in their new stadium. On Sunday I went over to my friend’s house and we watched the Minnesota Vikings play the Browns. This was Brett Favre`s debut as the Vikings quarterback. Favre did his job and the Vikings were victorious. During the half time break we went outside and played a bean bag game that was really fun. After the game we went out to a sports bar and had hamburgers and fries. I then went home and watched Sunday night football. The Packers played the Bears at Lambeau Field. The Packers ended up beating the Bears. This was a fun and relaxing weekend of college and NFL football.

Story: Group of friends sacrifice their life and love for the love of a friend’s friend, but that friend’s friend parts with his love due to practical difficulties of life. You may ask so what..? What is the story..? Believe me that is all is the story. No prequel or sequel. Screen play: Samudra kani was a better actor in Subramaniapuram. That he depicted Abinaya successfully (who is deaf and dumb) as a normal girl, is a credit to him. But then that credit goes to Abinaya too. Direction Depiction of scenes and characters has been good and similar to subramaniapuram. But then what is direction..? After consuming 80% of our time, director did not know how to proceed. Actor: Sivakumar fails in the sense he is as usual and one cannot find any expression in his bearded face. But Chandran and Pandian, Pandian in particular excel. Anaya is cute, impressive and emotes very well. I liked her round face and sweet mannerisms. She seems to have a good future if she sticks to her current frame. Abinaya is really pretty and acts well. No way can one find any shortcoming in her performance due to her disabilities. She has a good future definitely. Ananya and Abinaya are the best part of this film. Music/Songs: Actually there are intervals in the film filled by some music and song to ensure the film runs for a specific duration. Better to go to look or catch a drink during this time. Overall Impression: Could have used the resources and capabilities of the team to tell a different story or a better version of the same story. Nadodigal are not the group of friends in the film. They are the audience who come to watch this film and go out looking for something else somewhere. But Hats off to Ananya, Abinaya, Vijay Vasanth and Bharani.

Currently I am working on two different projects and due to this my whole day was very hectic. In the morning I went for a client meeting to discuss various pain areas in their system. That was very long and we discussed many functional areas such as Human Resource Management, Customer Relationship Management, etc. After this meeting I went to review the preparation of a demonstration for another client. This review was ended in two hours and after finishing this review I went to home to take some rest.

I make jewelry in my spare time. I prefer semi-precious stones and gold or silver. Sometimes I use shells in my designs as well. My main expertise is wire-wrapping and what I like to call wire-smashing. Basically I take 12-gauge silver wire, bend it into strange shapes, smash the heck out of the shapes with a chasing hammer, drill holes in them, and then link up the shapes with chains and beads. I don’t know how attractive it actually is, but so far my friends and family have been very diplomatic. So maybe my jewelry isn’t all that bad. The great thing about making jewelry is that it channels my more aggressive impulses and keeps me from taking them out on my coworkers. So I consider it a win-win situation.

The one thing that I like to do for fun is scuba dive in the ocean. Some people think that I am crazy for doing it, but it is a wonderful experience. Every time that I go out I see different fish and see different interesting things. Sometimes the visibility is low, so things just pop out in front of you, but sometimes you can see very far and everything looks like a picture. Then there is that sense of floating. No matter how hard one tries on dry ground, they can not float. In the ocean you can. This makes it adventurous and fun. That is why I love to scuba dive for fun.

The weather was kind of dreary – but the dinner last night more than made up for it. We had a menu made up of comfort food straight from a 1950’s kitchen. We had delicious, thick cut, baked pork chops with cheesy au gratin potatoes, rice pilaf, applesauce and fresh from the garden tomato slices. For dessert we had a homemade carrot cake with pecans and raisins and iced with cream cheese frosting. We washed it all down with tall glasses of iced tea. This is one of our all time favorite meals and it always makes us feel warm, secure and loved.
