My favorite website on the internet is actually msn.com. There are many reasons why I like this website. They have information on virtually anything. I usually get finance tips from this website, as well as information on parenting and lifestyle matters. They almost always feature the Style of The Week and do a critique of your favorite celebrities. This section is actually very amusing for me and I am always sure to browse through this. Any time I need information on the up to date matters of life, I go on msn.com to receive the latest news. It is a reliable source and definitely peaks my interest.

Last week, on both Tuesday and Thursday morning, I babysat from 8:00am until noon. I have babysat for this family before, but it was always at night, or on the weekends, never during a week day. I guess their regular nanny was on vacation for the week, and I was helping to fill in for the mornings when the mother needed to go spend some time at work. I got there at 8:00 in the morning, when the two older kids were finishing up breakfast and getting ready to go to kindergarten/preschool. Then, after the mom had taken one to the bus stop, and come back to take the other to school, I stayed home with the baby. I played with the baby until it was time to walk over to the preschool to pick up one of the older kids. On Tuesday I put the baby in the stroller for the walk. The preschool is on the same campus as my college, and I got a lot of weird looks from classmates as I pushed a baby stroller around on campus!

The greatest memories I have of my parents are on our monthly trips to St. Augustine. We would pack into one of our “too small for five people cars” and make the 1 hour trip from Jacksonville to St. Augustine. Along the way, my parents would tell us about all the history that St.Augustine holds. They would tell us about the Fountain of Youth, St. George street, the Cathedral, and the Old Fort. They would speak of how Ponce de Leon landed in St. Augustine and claimed St. Augustine for Spain. My best memory though is the trip home. I would close my eyes and still know where we were at by the turns we made. As we made that last turn into the driveway, I would hear my mom say, “home, home, jiggety jog.” To this day, I still hear her voice when I am coming home from a trip!
