Spring roll

Our last night dinner was very wonderful. It was candle light dinner arranged at home. The menu was tandoori chicken, butter mushroom and butter tandoori roti. We started with some starter first they were spring rolls and kebabs. The dinner was so delicious that still we remember the taste and feel the same in our mouth. The family had enjoyed the dinner with full heart. After finishing the dinner there was a desert too. It was Fruit Tart. The fruit Tart made the dinner more exciting the taste was wonderful. The entire food was mouthwatering. We would plan the same dinner party very soon with some more different tasty dishes.

Christmas is my best and favorite holiday. This is because we get lots of gifts and sweets. The best part is the party and the delicious cakes prepared on Christmas. The Christmas tree is decorated so nicely that it looks wonderful. The Santa Claus comes at gives out different types of gifts to all children. It seems as if we are in some dream land. There are so many chocolates and tastes so different.  A family get together with lots of delicious food, different types of drinks like wine, beer etc. makes the party merry. And of course last not the least the long holiday which gives us rest from all office work load.

Happy Mother's Day
Image via Wikipedia

My day starts from 5:30 AM that is early morning.  It was a wonderful day for me today, as I spoke to my parents who stay far away from me. It was after two weeks I spoke to them. As soon as I heard my mother’s voice tears started rolling down my eyes. I am very much attached to my father I spoke to me very softly with some loving and kind words. After speaking to them my day got more wonderful. When my husband returned from office I told him about parents that they had called me up and I am very happy today. He was very happy after he heard that they are fine and keeping good.  Also we are planning to go out for dinner today.

I think it’s pretty well-known that nearly every culture has legends of dragons or something very similar to dragons.  What I’m interested to know is whether there is a relationship between how dragons are portrayed and how that society views and treats nature.  For instance, Western civilizations portray dragons as violent, avaricious killing machines, and the only way to handle such a beast is to kill it.  Western civilizations are also notorious for treating the Earth as a dead thing, that nature (and the feminine in general) are meant to submit to the will of man.  Contrast this with Far Eastern dragons:  They are portrayed as powerful, wise, and generally benevolent.  Sure, they can kill you, but they would rather not.  Far Eastern cultures also view the world panentheistically’meaning that they believe God exists in everything in the universe and is outside of the universe, too.  A panentheistic worldview inherently forces its adherent to appreciate and love nature, to adapt to the environment, instead of having the environment adapt to man.  I understand the philosophies of the various cultures in Africa and among the indigenous Americans are similarly pantheistic or panentheistic; I wonder whether their dragon legends are more like the Far Eastern dragons, as well.
