Last Christmas I received two of the best, most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received. In 2007, I was involved in a very severe car accident that left me partially paralyzed in my left foot and ankle. I struggle with foot pain every day. I also struggle with neck and back pain due to a pinched nerve. So to make a long story short, the reason this past Christmas was the best is because I received so many gifts, but out of all the gifts I received, the most thoughtful came from my youngest daughter and youngest son. My daughter gave me an electric foot massager and my son gave me an electric neck massager. I was so touched and enlightened by these two particular gifts because they were well thought out in advance and I knew that they truly came directly from the heart.

The city of Savannah, Georgia is absolutely enchanting. When I first arrived here, on a quick lunch stop on our way to Florida, I knew immediately that I had to live in this amazing city. Giant live oak trees line the roads and Spanish moss hangs down, swaying in the wind, creating an almost dreamy pathway to the bustling downtown area. Once downtown, the streets surround peaceful city squares with statues, memorials and fountains. The squares are a perfect spot for picnics and afternoons of people-watching. The smell of true southern cooking fills the air outside of Food Network star Paula Deen’s restaurant. The quaint shops in City Market provide a picturesque beginning to a romantic carriage tour of the city. The gracious southern charm of this city never disappoints. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to live here.
No Fiance
I’m going to opt out on bringing my fiance on this vacation, because in those sort of situations, three is definitely a crowd! I would choose two of my best girlfriends, Brittany and Chrystle. We would go to the tropical paradise of Bermuda. I have been friends with Chrystle my entire life, and Brittany since elementary school and we have never taken a vacation together. I know we would would have a great time soaking up the sun, dining out, and exploring the beautiful island. I have always wanted to scuba dive, so I would hope we could get our scuba certifications and spend some time exploring under the beautiful turquoise waters.
