The ill Humored

One thing I certainly miss from when I was kid is in fact not doing anything, or to be more specific, not having to do anything. I miss all the free time I had as a kid, and all the different activities I could do. I miss playing games, either alone or with friends. I miss spending time with my friends, free of worry. Of course, once in a while I am still able to hang out with my friends or play, but the free time I once could dedicate to these leisure activities has diminished drastically, and there’s little chance that aspect would improve any time soon.

I have two very simple goals in life, though they often end up in conflict with each other: Try to enjoy life as much as I can, as a lot of people try in their lives; on the other hand, I’d also like to enjoy life for as much as I can. Those both sound incredibly general, but are easy to break down into more approachable middle-term goals. On that respect, I think I have done well in meeting some of them, and pretty poorly on the others. I believe that, in the long term, not only will I continue meeting my life goals, but I’ll meet them as much or even more than how I’m doing right now.

If I were given the chance to relive the last five years of my life, there’d be two distinct times: During the first three, I probably would proceed as I did originally, as there’s not much that I regret nowadays about those days. The last two years, however, would change considerably: I have done completely regretable decision, financially and in my relationships with other people. I’d probably try to fix these to what I now consider to be a better solution to the problems I’ve faced. A lot of people to whom I’d be more open, and I would try to relate more to them.
