A Maltese is a good dog breed to consider if one has allergies. I had not known such animals existed until my mother brought home our new family pet when I was twenty-two years old. The puppy, which I named affectionately Angele, was an interesting switch to owning nothing like her my whole life up to that point. She was lively, fun to play with, and a great companion from the first evening she entered our home. But, as a first time pet owner, I was unaware how much of a personality my dog would have. I thought she would wear some of those cute xs dog clothes, like sweaters or dresses. It turned out everything I bought for her; she acted like she was tortured in them! I finally gave up after a month. And, I guess the lesson for me is, always know if the dog would or wouldn’t mind being dressed up.
